Cocktail among the world’s grandest and most ancient creatures

When one gets the opportunity to work in a visually powerful space it makes sense to build your event design around it. An out-of-town financial services company chose to host their client reception in James and Louise Temerty Galleries of the Age of Dinosaurs at the Royal Ontario Museum. Taking our cues from the dinosaur skeletons all around, we selected design elements to compliment the natural shapes seen on the exhibit. We used sharply formed black metal framed furniture pieces as the bars, cruisers and communal tables. Topping these were dramatic tabletop decor elements. The florals featured expansive Phalaenopsis orchid heads complemented with boney black branches woven with strings of coloured light. Modern neon light strands added a glowing and elegant touch next to these ancient creatures.
